Choose words you will keep

A date is specific to the wedding; a lyric, phrase, or shared shorthand can live in your home for years. The best sign works at the reception and still makes sense when the flowers are gone.

02

Warm white is not the only answer

Warm white is timeless, but colour can tie the sign into stationery, florals, or the venue itself. Deep pink, ice blue, amber, and multicolour treatments can look refined when the rest of the setting is restrained.

03

Use negative space

Leave room around the sign. Draping, greenery, and floral work should frame the light rather than fight it. Ask your photographer to test exposure before guests arrive.

04

Plan the move home

Select backing and mounting hardware with the future wall in mind. A clean cut-to-shape backing and dimmer make it easier to move from a high-energy venue to a quieter bedroom or living space.
